Robert & Lea
Mr. & Mrs. H was founded by Robert and Lea, a husband-and-wife team with nearly 25 years of experience operating a local business, Lea’s , in Chatham, New York. That long-standing business has shaped our approach to service, hospitality, and consistency, and has given us a deep understanding of what it takes to care for people, homes, and operations over time.

Robert immigrated from Scotland and has spent his career working across the culinary world internationally, gaining experience in high-level kitchens and service environments, as well as owning and operating Chatham Village Cake Shop in Chatham, New York for eight years.

Lea grew up in the local restaurant business, with her family operating restaurants in the region since the 1960s, including as recently as the Chatham House in Chatham. She was involved from a young age, gaining hands-on experience in service and all aspects of restaurant operations, which gave her a deep, practical understanding of hospitality and business.

She later opened Hands in Clay, a pottery studio that evolved into the boutique Lea’s, which remains in Chatham today, while continuing to work alongside Robert in his bakery. Together, they have worked as a team since Robert came to the United States, building a shared foundation in service, food, and small business operations. Over time, their work has evolved and changed, but the way they work together as a team has only grown stronger.

We provide private home stewardship and lifestyle support for homeowners who want life at home to feel easier, more organized, and more supported. Our work ranges from an individual request to ongoing support, always centered on coordination, facilitation, and thoughtful oversight. Every home is different. We tailor support around each client’s needs and routines.
